Patch 3.3 of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King is set to be released tommorrow after I’m sure a lengthy amount of downtime for all the servers for such a large content update. This patch is the final act in the Wrath of the Lich King storyline and will reveal the end of ol’ Lichy himself.
The patch includes a number of interesting changes to the game as well. There will be a new in-game quest tracking schematic which will show the player on a map where the work for the quest needs to be done and where to turn it in when completed along with a new looking for group system which will allow players to creat groups for raids or dungeons across servers, drastically cutting down on lag time and increasing a person’s chances of actually getting a group. It will also feature three new 5-man dungeons: The Forge of Souls, Pit of Saron, and the Halls of Reflection as well as the new endgame raid Icecrown Citadel. The patch will also of course feature the new Tier 10 armor sets as well. Not that I’ll be doing any of this new content soon, as I still haven’t cleared 10-man Ulduar from several patches ago. Oh well.
