At Kaiyodo’s recent Wonder Festival in Japan, it was revealed that two new Revoltech action figures will be released to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Rurouni Kenshin anime series.
The two figures pictured above are of course younger Kenshin as Battousai from the classic OVA series and his older self that is present in the television series. Both figures will be released this October just in time to coincide with the Blu ray release of the OVA series and 1997 animated film.
It has also been announced that 17-year-old actress Emi Takei has just been cast in the role of Kamiya Kaoru alongside Takeru Sato’s Himura Kenshin in the upcoming live-action adaptation of Nobuhiro Watsuki’s popular samurai manga. Although there is still no more information about the new animated series that was previously announced in April, the live-action film version will hit Japanese theaters next summer.
