Lego unveiled yesterday the first set from Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film. The set will be comprised of 306 pieces and will also include another vehicle and three other minifigures apart from Batman. The batmobile set will be released on January 1, 2016 and will run you $29.99. This feels like a warm-up announcement for DC and Warner Bros.’ upcoming panels at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con where Lego will also have a big presence.
It’s hard to judge the whole set when Lego has only shown us less than half of it but I feel as though Batman’s signature vehicle could have been constructed in a more interesting fashion. The Batman minifigure doesn’t really seem to represent his appearance in the film very well either, although I’ve only seen the short teaser trailer and some promotional images.
At $29.99 the other vehicle can’t be very large and I’m sure there will be a few more sets to accompany this one.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
