Star Wars: The Force Awakens Lego Set Images Part One

Although the images have been floating around the internet for a couple of weeks, Lego and Disney are now officially unveiling the new sets for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. All of the merchandise for the new film will be available starting on ‘Force Friday’, which is tomorrow. Many physical stores are doing midnight release events which include special bonus items particular to each company. Also important to note is that, also starting at midnight, all of the online retailers (such as Amazon) will be offering all of the new products on their respective sites. This is nice for those of us who don’t want to risk catching Ebola or the plague from all of the hordes of sweaty fans that will be descending upon Disney Stores and Toys R’ Us’s over the next 36 hours.

But now for the main event, the new Lego sets. Not all of the sets have been unveiled quite yet so I will update Teatime with another post featuring the rest of the new items as they become available.

First up is the new Millenium Falcon set which features a slight update on the last standard-issue Lego Falcon which was released in 2010. The new Falcon has been updated with a new radar dish (as the original was lost in the piping of the Death Star II) and includes minifigures of Han Solo, Chewbacca, Ray, Finn, BB-8, and two ‘bad guy’ gangster figures. No clue who the villains are but I’m fairly certain they are from the first quarter of the film and are not principle villains.

Next up is Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle and is so far the only set to include the eponymous villain as well as General Hux, a First Order Stormtrooper Officer, and a few other First Order grunts. The design of the ship is pretty interesting and I’m curious to see what the other features of the set will be.

The next is a must-buy for any fans of Captain Phasma as it includes her as well as a large group of First Order Stormtroopers. The aptly named ‘First Order Transport’ seems to be perfect for your world-invading needs. The part of the set that I am most interested by? Seeing if Captain Phasma’s minifigure has a detailed face underneath the helmet.

Now we have Poe’s X-Wing Starfighter which includes Poe, BB-8, another X-Wing pilot and a Resistance mechanic. I have a feeling this will be one of the most sought-after sets of the line.

The Star Wars Force Friday live stream can be viewed on the official Star Wars Youtube channel by following the link below.

More set images will be posted later!
