Lego Ideas Doctor Who Set Revealed

full set

It’s been a long time since Lego shared any details about it’s upcoming Doctor Who set ever since they announced that AndrewClark2’s custom set had received 10,000 supporters and had been approved. Since the initial announcement that Lego would make Doctor Who a part of their Ideas line we’ve had all of the excitement around the inclusion of Doctor Who in the new Lego Dimensions video game. Now, after months of silence and teaser images, Lego has officially released details and images of the new Ideas set.

The LEGO Ideas 21304 Doctor Who set will include the 11th and 12th Doctors, Clara Oswald, two Daleks, and a Weeping Angel. The set itself features the console room of the TARDIS as well as a removable section that can be formed into a nice stand-alone TARDIS or be used as the doors exiting (or entering) the control room. The set will have over 600 pieces in total and is priced at $59.99 USD. The release date for the set is December 1st. If you are interested in this set, it would be wise to keep a keen eye on when it goes on sale as it’s sure to sell out quickly.

A nice added bonus is that the minifigure of the 12th Doctor included in the Lego Ideas set will be different than the version included in the Lego Dimensions Level pack. If you pick up both Doctor Who Lego Dimensions packs, you can add K-9, a Cyberman, a mini-Dalek, and a mini-Tardis to your Lego Doctor Who collection.

The minifigures look excellent and I like the way Lego has interpreted the console room and the TARDIS into a reasonably-priced set. I am still hoping for the announcement for a full Doctor Who Lego theme, but for now this will do nicely!
