Space Patrol Luluco, the newest series by director Hiroyuki Imaishi (the director of Kill la Kill and Gurren Lagann) and studio Trigger, is set for an April 1st premiere. Luluco recently got a new TV Spot as well as a new poster image (shown above).
The series will be simulcasted by Crunchyroll so everyone will be able to watch the series right after it airs in Japan. Imaishi’s work is always crazy and I always look forward to his new projects. Trigger has another new TV anime airing this spring in the form of Kiznaiver, which Crunchyroll also has exclusive rights to stream online. Kiznaiver will be a full-length anime as opposed to Luluco which will be a series of 10-minute-ish episodes. Kiznaiver is written by Mari Okada, who is the writer responsible for the atrocious Rurouni Kenshin New Kyoto Arc OVA, so I have mixed feelings about that project.
Both Space Patrol Luluco and Kiznaiver will be featured on future episodes of the 2-Dimensional Champions podcast!
