Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Soundtrack Information

Edgar Wright updated his official blog with information about the forthcoming release of the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World soundtrack. Beck was recruited to write all the songs for Scott’s band in the movie SEX BOB-OMB as well as providing instrumentation for the actors as well as having some of his own songs included on the soundtrack.

Also included is Plumtree’s 1997 song which Bryan Lee O’Malley named the series after, which is a very nice touch indeed. What I’m most looking forward to on the upcoming CD is Metric’s new song ‘Black Sheep’ which sounds relaly good. Here is the full tracklist:

SEX BOB-OMB (Beck): “We Are SEX BOB-OMB”
Plumtree: “Scott Pilgrim”
Frank Black: “I Heard Ramona Sing”
Beachwood Sparks: “By Your Side”
Black Lips: “O Katrina!”
Crash and the Boys (Broken Social Scene): “I’m So Sad, So Very, Very Sad”
Crash and the Boys (Broken Social Scene): “We Hate You Please Die”
SEX BOB-OMB (Beck): “Garbage Truck”
T. Rex: “Teenage Dream”
The Bluetones: “Sleazy Bed Track”
Blood Red Shoes: “It’s Getting Boring by the Sea”
Metric: “Black Sheep”
SEX BOB-OMB (Beck): “Threshold”
Broken Social Scene: “Anthems for a Seventeen-Year-Old Girl”
The Rolling Stones: “Under My Thumb”
Beck: “Ramona (Acoustic)”
Beck: “Ramona”
SEX BOB-OMB (Beck): “Summertime”
Brian LeBarton: “Threshold 8 Bit”

Also, there will be an original score for the film that is being composed by Beck collaborater Nigel Godrich which will get a digital release at a later date. The soundtrack is being released on August 10th and the film itself is out on August 13th.
